If there’s one motor club that means more to the fans of the Tour than any other, then it has to be the 2300 Motor Club based in Blackburn. Each year in October, with the help and support of other clubs & organisations, they put on the ‘epic’ tarmac event that is The Tour of Mull.
This event is open to anybody who would like to have a go in the appropriate vehicle and runs from Friday Evening to Sunday morning in three discrete sections. The cars compete against the clock over the public roads, which the police close to the public during the event. The roads are all tarmac single track lanes with lots of hairpins, steep hills and big drops! 150 cars start on the Friday night and as well as being "The best rally in the world", it is one of the biggest social events in Mull's calendar each year. The event is sponsored by Tunnock's.
